Joel Osborn just emailed me a link to a cartoon about podcasting. Sometimes I feel like that guy, but when you email or send in comments, it helps. Paul

Testing "Flock"

So I was listening to "Inside the Net" with Leo Laporte and Amber MacArther (both from Call for Help). They were talking to a guy who's part of the team developing flock a free opensource browser. So for my listeners, I'm testing it out. One of the neat features is that you can blog more easily using a simple button in the browser. This is a test to check that feature. Paul

On this episode of "Tech, No Babel", get a .com website for less than $10 a year, Church Tech gift ideas, Why your church needs RSS, and much, much more. Here are some links from the show: Blogger.com Blogger-Templates.Blogspot.com GoDaddy.com Blipmedia.org Vimeo.com Flickr.com I've created an example of a a podcast RSS feed. Open it up in a simple text editor and follow the directions in the comments and viola you have a podcast feed. Now simply upload it to your server and tell people about it (like by putting a link on your site). Simple. Right click (or control+click on a Mac) and download Example.xml. I also created a pdf in which all the stuff that needs to be changed has been highlighted. Download it here.

Fun Star Wars Fanfilm from a Listener

What a creative audience I have. David sent me a link in response to Episode 12, during which I mentioned (briefly) Star Wars fanfilms and people drawing lightsabers in w/ Photoshop. In his Lego Star Wars fanfilm, he did just that. The stop motion was done at 10 frames a second, but it was still a lot of work. Enjoy. Paul

After two days believing that all was well, I realized I'd uploaded my xml file to the wrong directory. Three days later, after several trips to FeedValidator.org, pinging Feedburner.com, etc. The feed works (even in iTunes!)! Sorry for the delay. Paul

Why didn't you tell me?

I'm in the process of checking the syntax on my feed. First, I uploaded it to the wrong directory, now I find I have an error in it. If you're subscribed to "Tech, No Babel" via the xml file, it's coming soon. Paul
